Performance
What we look for in castability varies from model to model.
While load/release timing and recovery rates are important for a good casting rod, the hookup and landing ratio make a unique trout bfs rod that is short in length.
We use measurable indexes for each performance criteria to achieve the goal we set per model.
Components
Guide configuration becomes extremely important for short rod with the steep bend curve.
The load on each guide during a fight is adjusted to optimize the load on each blank section to maximize lifting power while controlling line flutter and frictional resistance to maximize line release for the cast in short length blank.
